The Aquabears had a great showing at the 2011 Connecticut Senior Long Course Championships. Paul Dyrkacz led the way by winning the overall high point award and qualifying for Olympic Trials in the 200 Breast. Julie Lajoie led the BEAR girls to a 3rd place team finish while winning the distance high point award for women.
The BEARS were also strong at Age Group Championships, with great meets by individual high point winners Emily Lajoie and Alex Pascal. The 15-18 girls captured the team championship, and there were many outstanding performances by BEAR swimmers throughout the meet.
