Aquabears Head Coach Jon Levine has over 30 years of coaching experience, and has had success at every level. He had rec teams that went undefeated and won league championships, he was a college assistant coach at UCONN when the women’s team went undefeated, and he also coached an undefeated high school team. Jon’s primary background is in United States Swimming programs, and his age group teams are always among the top teams in Connecticut. In addition to coaching numerous National Top 16 swimmers and state record holders, Jon’s teams have won dozens of age group team titles at Age Group Championships. His teams have also finished in the top 2 at Age Groups, Region 1's, and Senior Championships.

Along the way Jon has produced many age group individual event winners and high point award winners, and many of Jon’s swimmers have gone on to successful college careers. Swimmers that have trained in Jon’s age group programs have gone on to compete and set records for numerous colleges, including Rochester, Yale, Princeton, Swarthmore, Syracuse, UCONN, and URI, to name just a few. He has coached Junior National finalists, Senior National Qualifiers, a Paralympic Gold Medalist and World Record Holder, and a few of his age group swimmers have even gone on to make Olympic Trials.

Jon is a graduate of the Loomis Chaffee School, and has a degree in Psychology from the University of Connecticut. He is a Life member of the American Swim Coaches Association, was a National Merit letter of commendation award winner, and has also qualifed for Mensa. In 2003, Jon was also voted Connecticut Age Group Coach of the Year.

Jon lives in North Granby with his wife Ann and their 4 children.
