2003 BEAR Trophy Pentathlon

Facility: 6 lane - 25 yard pool with starting blocks at deep end and 6-lane Colorado timing with display.

Sunday P.M. 11/12 & 13/14 Warm-up: 2:15 P.M. Start: 3:15 P.M.
Eligibility: Open to all 2003 registered members of USA Swimming. Age Group will be determined by age as of November 16, 2003. There are no cut-off times. All coaches must be current members of USA Swimming, and must display their credentials on deck.
Fees: Splash fees: Ind. events- $3.50 per event. Relays - $6.00 per event.

Entries: Swimmers may compete in all events. Submit swimmers' best short course times for seeding. Electronic entry files should be submitted via email to Aquabears@cox.net. Send a paper copy of your entry, your entry fees, and an entry summary sheet via regular mail. Please don't send diskettes. Teams not submitting their entry with an electronic file should add $1.00 per swimmer to their fees.
Deadline: Entries must be received by November 6. If the meet is oversubscribed, entries will be accepted based on the date/time the entries are received, after all relays have been cut. Per CSI, the official entry date is when the paper entry and the check are received by the host team. The Meet Manager reserves the right to make other changes, subject to the approval of CSI Program Operations. If any changes are necessary, teams will be notified by November 10.

Awards: Trophies to top 12 overall swimmers in each age group. Points will be awarded to 12 places in each event, and the 12 swimmers with the most points at the end of the meet will be awarded the trophies.
Timers/officials: Teams will be asked to supply timers in relationship to the size of their entry. Teams supplying names of parents willing to officiate will have their timing assignments adjusted.
Results: Will be posted on the CSI website, and mailed to teams upon request.

Rules: Fly-over starts may be used in the case of oversubscription, as determined by the meet referee and meet manager, with proper protocol training of officials from the Officials Chairman.
Disabled/elderly access: Handicapped parking is available in the main pool parking lot. Deck access is via the women's locker room.
Directions: From south of Suffield: Take I-91 to Exit 38. Turn right onto RT 75 (North) and continue through Windsor Locks, into Suffield (approx. 8 miles). In the center of Suffield you will pass through two lights that are twenty yards apart. Suffield Academy is immediately on the left after the second light. The pool is at the bottom of the hill, on your left.
